This page is managed with WordPress and coded by hand or in Dreamweaver on a PowerBook G4.

The graphic at the top is called “female home commuter” and was made by simonox. The woodgrain is also by simonox.

The colors were chosen with help from the Color Schemer blog and program.

The navigation tabs are based on the design “Seth’s horizontal list” from Listamatic.

Amanda recently earned her Master’s degree from the Missouri School of Journalism, where she studied new media convergence. She has worked for the Web side of NPR and network television stations and in print newsrooms for almost five years.

Her current research interests include media choice and uses and gratifications theory. She re-launched VoxMagazine.com last year and the website for the Columbia Missourian in April.

She moved home to Dallas in July to start her new job as the home page editor for The Dallas Morning News. She likes baking, coffee, distance running and reading.  She doesn’t usually refer to herself in third person.
